The Hometown Renovation Experience
Jeff and Matt have known each other for over 10 years. Throughout that time, they have worked together in many different capacities throughout the world of construction. Over the years, they had both decided that together, they possessed the knowledge and skills to go out on their own and start a new company. Hometown Reno is the start of a great adventure for these two hardworking men to be able to bring fantastic renovations to Central Illinois.

I've been in the construction industry doing all phases and types of construction for over 37 years. I grew in a small town and would build clubhouses for all the kids even as a young child, myself. During high school, I was able to take shop classes and learn the art of construction. After graduating, I joined the carpenter's union as an apprentice to become a Journeyman Carpenter. After a career in commercial construction, I decided to pivot and join the ironworkers union. After a short time, I became a Journeyman Ironworker and was promoted to an Ironworker Foreman very quickly. Unfortunately, I had an accident and was not able to return to ironworking. I returned to general contracting and construction and passed along my passion to my son who helps in the summer and on weekends.

I grew up in Bloomington-Normal and completed 2 years of construction trade classes while I was still in high school. After graduation, I began working for several different construction companies to gain hands-on experience. I have over 25 years of construction experience working for contractors in both the Peoria and Bloomington areas. I specialize in tile, framing, and trimming but am adept in many areas of home improvement. I always love to be able to look back and see the improvements I am able to provide to small town home owners.
